These photos were all taken during the construction of 7 miles of dual carrigeway to replace the old single carrigeway which was a major bottleneck for holidaymakers heading to Cornwall and used to cause major traffic jams during the peak season.
The major Contractor was Alfred McAlpine.

sorry, but I can tell you that some 800,000 tonnes of recycled waste materials were used in the construction, 90 per cent of these materials came from waste generated by the nearby Imerys operated china clay works at St Austell, this made it the largest "Green" road project in the UK.
